HVAC MARKET IN SAUDI ARABIA
Saudi Arabia with its extreme climatic conditions, large and growing population and high disposable incomes accounts for the largest share of the HVAC systems market across the GCC countries. The country is now open to receive new technologies in this field, and KSA is a market that wants new products and innovations.
With demand for HVAC systems primarily stemming from building construction, the robust health of the construction sector throughout the GCC and the ongoing projects are a stellar indicator of the growing potential of HVAC systems in the region.
HVAC systems are an important part of the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) market, comprising 24% of total MEP value. They are an essential and ongoing component of the building construction market, and follow the business cycles associated with the construction sector closely.*
In the next three years, the KSA residential market is expected to have 1.5 million new homes built (this figure exceeds all of the residential properties built in Italy from 2002-2007).

MCE Saudi Arabia will take place at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre in the capital of Saudi Arabia. RICEC is owned by Riyadh Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and used for both national and international trade exhibitions, conferences and business events. RICEC is only 15 minutes from King Khalid International Airport, and is easily accessible by road. The venue covers over 14,600 sqm of exhibition space, and also features modern conference rooms beside a brand new 1000-seat auditorium.

• HVAC systems market estimated at US$ 6.28 billion in 2011 across the GCC countries.
• The Saudi Arabian economy supported by its petroleum industry saw continued GDP growth of 6.8% in 2012.
• Total housing stock expected to reach 7 million units by 2020.
• In March 2011, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud revealed plans for a SR250 bn (US$66.65bn) spending programme to build 500,000 new houses in the Kingdom.
• The Riyadh Development Authority has approved a large SR 278 billion plan that includes major new housing projects and transport developments.
• The Saudi government has launched four integrated economic cities, and is launching another two later this year. These huge projects aim to meet residential and commercial property needs and will improve the investment climate in the country.
• The building and construction markets in KSA are a crucial part of its economy, that will benefit from large public financial support. Investment expectations are due to exceed US$ 294 billion by 2018, with 63% expected to be invested in infrastructure, 22% on residential and 15% on non-residential buildings.
As a direct result of this the HVAC market in 2015 is predicted to grow to around US$ 1.4 billion, up from US$ 1 billion in 2011
