South-East Europe is a region where a number of technologies can be implemented in order to improve the local economy competitiveness through resource efficiency enhancement. The 12th edition of Exhibitions & Conferences for SE Europe EE & RE (energy efficiency & renewables), Smart Cities will be held from 5 to 7 April in Sofia, Bulgaria. The organizers from Via Expo announce that till now leading companies from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal and the Netherlands will participate. Finding distributors and launching new products are among the main reasons for them to be a part of the event.

Conference Topics – Early Bird till 26 Feb
A strong international presence of speakers and practice-oriented topics will ensure great knowledge exchange at both conferences. 
The Euroheat & Power session will be devoted to the latest developments in district heating. 
Oliver Loebel from PU Europe will present a research project on a new passive house and trends in the insulation materials. How to make sustainability measurable? The answer will be given by Dr. Christine Lemaitre, CEO of the German Sustainable Building Council. 
The focus of the speech of Grazia Barchi from the European Academy of Bolzano will be the retrofitting of shopping centers to reduce their energy consumption. 
Nuria de Lama from the Big Data Value Association will highlight the future internet applications for cities, transport and logistics. Innovation Norway session will reveal the opportunities of green innovations. 
Thomas Vonier, President of American Institute of Architects, Esa Mohamed, President of the International Union of Architects and Nikolay Galabov from the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria will acquaint the audience with the progress in the sustainable architecture. 
A comparison in the smart finance for smart buildings in Bulgaria and Poland will be made by Dan Staniaszek from the Buildings Performance Institute Europe.
